Celestron Cometron 7x50

Forty bucks. A thousand hobbies started right here.

around $40

7x50 is the classic astronomy binocular format: bright, steady, wide. The Cometron is the cheapest honest pair — for the price of two pizzas you get the Milky Way, comets, and star clusters. Keep them by the back door; you'll reach for them more than you think.
