Red LED headlamp
Hands-free red light. Future you says thanks.
around $20
Red mode on, both hands free for eyepieces and focus knobs, night vision intact. After the red flashlight, this is the most-used twenty bucks in the kit. You'll wonder how you ever observed without one — probably while holding a flashlight in your teeth, like the rest of us did.
