AGM TaipanV2 19-320 Thermal Imaging Monocular
Higher resolution thermal — the serious skywatch pick.
around $695
The top of the TaipanV2 line: a 320x240 sensor with a 19mm lens, which means both more detail and more range than the 256 models. This is where thermal stops being a curiosity and starts being an instrument — warm objects resolve into shapes you can actually describe, not just blobs you point at.

Why we like it
- 320x240 sensor — visibly more detail than 256 models
- 19mm lens for longer detection range
- Still handheld and straightforward
Keep in mind
- Nearly $700 — real money for a first thermal
- Heavier than the smaller Taipans
- Won't see through clouds or glass
